Modern Slavery training:
Duration: A full day training course
The Modern Slavery Act 2015 was enacted in response to the heightened concerns around slavery, human trafficking and forced labour in global supply chains. All businesses have a moral obligation to work towards eradicating slavery and forced labour but the introduction of the Act placed a legal duty on large businesses to play their part in eradicating slavery from global supply chains.
Modern Slavery training for businesses has become an essential area of staff training for commercial organisations of a certain size. Businesses can benefit from equipping their staff with knowledge and awareness of the issues relating to Modern Slavery and the legal obligations that the Modern Slavery Act 2015 places on them and their commercial organisation.
Our Modern Slavery training courses are the only courses offered to businesses in the UK which have been awarded CPD accreditation. They were created by and are run by individuals with extensive experience in the field including our Head of Investigations Chris Davies an ex-police trainer and one of the country’s leading experts in the field.
Who is it for?
Publishing a Modern Slavery Statement is a mandatory requirement for all commercial organisations who supply goods or services, in any sector, with a total turnover exceeding £36 million, conducting business anywhere in the UK. This course will be relevant to employees of these large organisations but will be equally applicable to organisations whose turnover is under this threshold wanting to educate their employees or management accordingly.
The course aims to provide those commercial organisations or companies with the knowledge they will require to comply with the legal obligations placed upon them under the Act and to provide them with an understanding of the actions they can take to combat Modern Slavery.
- To understand the current situation in the UK and be aware of the changes to the law
- To understand what Modern Slavery is and to recognise the signs and behaviours.
- To understand the obligations placed upon commercial organisations and companies.
- To identify what to do, who to tell and what to record.
- To identify the Support Services and what they can offer.
- To understand the Modern Slavery Statement (MSS) process and what this statement must include.

The course was interesting, informative and excellently delivered by the trainer Chris Davis.
