The English Police Golf Association championships

Peel Solutions are excited to announce that this year we will be sponsoring The English Police Golf Association championships.

The event will be hosted in Wilmslow this year. Cheshire last hosted the event at Mere GC in 2005 so it’s a long awaited return to the county. Wilmslow is a worthy venue, having hosted European Tour events in the past, and is known to be one of the best presented courses in the region.

The English Police Golf Association was established in 1979 and has been played consecutively since in most of the 39 forces in England.

The event is open to officers and staff, serving and retired, with priority given to those still serving. The qualification criteria is a handicap of 10 or less.
The Championships take place on Monday 8th July over 36 holes. There are prizes for the best gross and net, with a trophy for each. There is also a team prize which is hard fought and much sought after, currently held by Cleveland.

Competitors also play a practice round on the afternoon of Sunday 7th followed by a buffet. The Championship dinner is also on Monday 7th July and will be attended by the Captain of Wilmslow Golf Club and the Chief Constable of Cheshire, Darren Martland.

This year Peel Solutions are proud sponsors of this event and will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding the event/help you in the right direction.
